It can be fun to learn about animals, whether you want to learn more about animals in your backyard, your pets, or about animals all over the world as you learn about world history and geography.

Learning About Arctic Animals in Your Homeschool

Do your kids ever ask questions about animals and you are not sure how to answer or explain them? It happens here too, though I am lucky enough that my 12-year-old enjoys reading and learning about animals to which she quite often has the answer. Still, it is fun to find an activity to do that demonstrates what it is she has been reading about.

We have had a lot of fun learning about how animals in the Arctic and Antarctic stay warm in freezing cold temperatures. And then about how they live and what they eat and such.

Learning About Animals Through Hands-On Learning

A lot of these activities are easy enough for your preschoolers to do with your older children too. There is something that can be learned from each activity no matter how young or old your children are, and everyone loves to see a science experiment reaction, even us parents.

Learning about animals is a great way to teach your children about our environment, our planet, and the care that we need to take to ensure that we continue to have these animals for many more years to come.
