Let’s talk about everything single serve. I love single serve easy desserts, especially after a long day when there aren’t any treats around the house. They are just what a busy mom needs after a long day. And they can be fun to make for the whole family too.

Everything Single Serve
Single-serve doesn’t just mean desserts, though those tend to be the way I go when I think of them. But there are other single-serve recipes out there too.
My favorite dessert for one is peanut butter cookie dough. I am a big fan of peanut butter and maybe you are too.

Single Serve Chocolate Pudding in A Mug
Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie for One, or Two

You can find even more quick and easy single serve desserts too.
Why Do You Want a Dessert for One?
Simply because sometimes you just want a treat for yourself. It could be after a long day homeschooling your children, after a long day at work, or maybe, you just want a treat and there is no reason not to have a treat.
For these recipes, you do not need anything special. You can use a microwave-safe mug. You can have a fancy mug if you want, but I usually just stick with a mug.
Sharing A Dessert for One
I’m not talking about sharing that one little dessert unless you are sharing with someone special. I do mean, you can easily make some of these desserts for each member of your family without a lot of trouble, or any more work than it would be to make a regular dessert.
One of my family’s favorite desserts is the 5-minute single-serve apple crisp. They eat them right from their ramekins and they can add a topping of whatever they might want on it, in their ramekin. Bonus: no serving dishes are dirtied.
What About Other Times of the Day?
So are we eating dessert all.day.long? No. Or at least we probably shouldn’t be. So I thought up some of my favorite things to eat, for breakfast or lunch, that would be single-serve meals. My kids could live off air fryer chicken strips and potato wedges, and that’s fine for them. For me, I want something different every now and then.
I know, most are breakfast-type foods. That’s because I normally have a shake after a workout super early in the morning, and then it’s lunchtime before I want to stop homeschooling and working, and actually eat.
