The Christmas holidays are coming up and I’m getting excited. In true to us fashion, holidays start with Christmas books. I love all there is about Christmas again, now that I have kids. Gauge will be three this year and he is going to be so excited about everything. It’s the best part of Christmas to watch the joy on their face.

Our Favorite Christmas Books
There are so many different Christmas books, I’m sure that everyone has their own favorite books that they feel like they just have to read each year.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas – A classic! We read it, and then we sit down to watch both versions of the movie, the old cartoon (Hubby’s favorite) and Jim Carrey (my favorite).
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer – Oh I love this, and I love the very old movie. And the memories.
The Berenstain Bears: The Night Before Christmas – I’m just a huge Berenstain Bear fan. I love most of their books and the story/lesson that they share.
The Littlest Elf – This is a cute story about a little elf that feels he’s too little to be helpful.
A Charlie Brown Christmas – I can’t believe that my kids have trouble remembering Charlie Brown. Every single time we dig out the book or movie they’re all “what’s this?”.
Night Before Christmas – My review. This is of course Austin’s favorite Christmas book now, you know because she’s in it. But not only is she in it, so are the rest of us. A great family read, especially on Christmas Eve.
Magical Snowman – My review. Not only is this a great Christmas time read, but for all winter long. And winter here lasts a really long time!
Maybe you noticed that most of these are books that we follow up with with the movie. It makes for great Christmas traditions, almost like our own little count down to Christmas picking a book and a movie to enjoy each night as it gets closer to Christmas.
