Learning About Circuits in Your Homeschool

Learning about electricity and circuits is fun to learn about when you can be hands-on. There are a number of different kits available to explore them more and create amazing circuits and even robots with the right kit! Add some circuits to your science curriculum this year.

Learning About Circuits in Your Homeschool

Just because we don’t go to public school doesn’t mean that after-school programs are off-limits. My kids go on Fridays to our local library for the after-school program and this past week was for the older grades, and my nine-year-old was actually the only one there as there was no school that day. Turned out perfect for us.

The circuit set we used involved conductor pens. It was not what I was expecting, and so fun! By drawing her own circuits and then learning how it works. Kids truly know how to do things like this without much help, it blows my mind sometimes.

The Circuit Scribe sets come with instructions on how to make multiple circuits following their images to make some really cool circuits. But you can also make your own. We did both, a lot.

Want to know a little secret? I had to have my nine-year-old show me how to get this to work. Kids know technology, they are like little ducks taking to water with it. The set we used was the Circuit Scribe and I completely recommend it!
