Best Subscription Boxes for Kids

I have been a fan of subscription boxes for years. They are a fun gift to give to kids during the holidays instead of toys. They are great to give birthdays too. These are great subscription boxes for kids, that are not only fun but educational too.

Best Subscription Boxes for Kids

As a parent, I prefer my kids get entertaining crafts and activities instead of a toy that is going to be forgotten in no time or need batteries to be replaced every other week. Or taking up space in our small house.

There are so many great products and services now that make great homeschool resources even if they aren’t necessarily marketed toward homeschoolers. You can take advantage of these and make a great full curriculum from them.

Little Passports

The Little Passport subscription box is great for teaching geography to your kids. They have a few different subscription options for learning from a young age:
Early Explorers – age 3-5
World Edition – ages 6-10
USA Edition – 7-12

We have gotten both the Early Explorers and the World Edition when my girls were in both age groups. Getting the mail each month to see what new country we would b learning about was exciting. You can read our review to learn more about it.

Little Passports also offers Science Expeditions now too. They too are a monthly subscription, recommended for kids aged 9 and older. We love this kit, even though my kids weren’t quite up to the age recommendation yet. You can check out our review to see a little more about it.

Green Kids Crafts

Do you have a craft kid on your shopping list this year? These are going to go over great with both the kids and the parents. There is very little that you need to provide to do these crafts, everything comes in the box which is something that I love! You can check out our review.

They have been developed by teachers and STEAM experts (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) to support key developmental skills for kids. Each of these Discovery Boxes includes up to six different experiments and crafts that activate thinking, questioning, inquiring, and original creation.

There are a few different subscription options:
Junior Science and Craft – ages 2-4
Science and Crafts for Children – ages 5-10
They also have the option to buy individual boxes and kits, such as their holidays around the world one.

Steve Spangler Science

I’ve just ordered the STEM Lab for my science-loving kids. I can’t wait to get it and try it out, I’ve heard so many great things about it.

There are two different subscriptions: STEM Lab and  STEM Lab Deluxe.

Each STEM Lab box is filled with the science tools and resources needed to explore real-world STEM (an integration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities. The easy-to-follow instruction cards guide your young scientist through every experiment to make the learning process exciting and fun.

STEM Lab Deluxe comes with two experiment guides – one for the scientist and a top-secret document for the adult science helper. The easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions guide the learner through the scientific method while providing open-ended activities to promote further learning.

Groovy Lab in a Box

Young Creator Series – Ages 4-7 & STEMist Series – Ages 8+– Each month our Groovy Lab in a Box STEM subscription box for kids provides young STEMists (your children!) fun, hands-on projects and an engineering design challenge – all focused on that month’s STEM topic.

Universal Yums

What do you get in a box? It depends on where they’re going!

If they are featuring a chocolate-loving country like Belgium, you’ll find creamy hazelnut truffles and chocolate-covered waffles in your box. However, a box from Thailand might be filled with zesty fried seaweed and salty pineapple candy.

No matter the country, you’ll always find a variety of sweet and savory snacks with unique flavors and spices.
