How to Set Up A Curriculum
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you first get a new curriculum, I have been there many times. What you don’t want to do is get so overwhelmed that you don’t use the curriculum you just bought.
The first thing is to take a step back from the whole thing, don’t look at everything.
Find the instructor manual.
Every curriculum I have bought has had a teacher’s manual or guide. Read this carefully. I know it’s hard to not skip ahead, but it’s important to know how they have set up the curriculum, and in the end, it will make things easier on you.
Set up a binder.
Is there curriculum or worksheets wrapped in plastic waiting to be placed in a binder? Grab your binder and get them sorted.
Make any photocopies necessary too.
Your curriculum books.
Are your kids going to run off with your new curriculum books? Then maybe it’s a better idea to keep them in the box out of reach.
Otherwise, put them away, maybe thinking about putting the few needed books on top, or in the front, somewhere you can get them easily.
Setting up a homeschool curriculum can be a daunting task, but it is doable with planning and organization. By following these simple tips, you can use a curriculum that fits your needs. So get started today and see the amazing results in your child’s education!
