Being a mom means making a promise to never spend time alone ever again. And if we’re honest about it, it’s not just the kids who are taking up all your time either!
So when the opportunity pops along for you to finally have a night in by yourself, grab it with both hands and refuse to let go.
The kids are at a sleepover or with their grandparents. Your partner is out, maybe at a work event. You’ve got the house, the night, and yourself entirely to yourself. What an absolute dream!
Now let’s make sure you get properly relaxed.
Have Some Sneaky Takeout
This is a night where you don’t have to cook (unless you actually want to do so). Order in some sneaky takeout that you don’t have to share with anyone, and make sure you eat it while you’re watching something you’ve been dying to see since to-do lists began.
No one has to know about it! Just make sure you get rid of any debris once you’re all done chowing down on a good pizza or a burger that’s dripping with the most juice you’ve ever seen in your life.
You’ve Got to Fit a Bath in!
When was the last time you were able to have a proper soak without someone trying to beat down the door to ask you if they can have some Cheerios? If you’re anything like us, you probably can’t even remember!
So take the chance now to fill the tub, sprinkle in as many different lotions, soaps, and even a good couple of bath bombs, and treat yourself. We don’t quite recommend staying in there all night long, but there isn’t really a time limit on the amount of time you can spend soaking either.
Try a Bit of CBD
If you’ve never had it before, you’ve definitely got the chance to give it a try – what with you having no one to actively look out for right now.
CBD is meant to be very effective at helping you let go of that tension and finally let your muscles loosen. And if you’ve not unclenched since you first found out you were pregnant, you might be really overdue for a dose!
So if you know a night to yourself is coming up (and let’s face it, you’re counting down the days!), hop online to CBDistillery and grab yourself some gummies or a bit of oil. The latter is also pretty good if you fancy rubbing in some moisturizer after you’ve had that relaxing bath!
Have You Got a Night to Yourself?
Use it wisely! Don’t spend it finally clearing up or tidying a room you’ve been meaning to get round to. Spend it on yourself, and actually do something you want to do.
And unless cleaning does actually fall on that list, that means paying attention to your body and indulging in a few guilty pleasures. Relax and enjoy your alone time while it lasts!
