Ideas for Christmas Waffles

My oldest daughter, Austin, loves to make waffles in our house. She makes them as often as I let her, and I know she’ll love having a Christmas waffle maker. I had no idea how many different waffle makers there are for Christmas. I was thinking there might be a snowflake one but there are many to choose from.

Homemade Waffle Recipe

You ordered your new waffle maker, now it’s time to find a delicious waffle recipe. We have one, we love this recipe. It’s the only one we use in our own waffle maker. You can find the recipe added below.

Waffles really are easy to make, Austin has been making them for years on her own. The biggest struggle is always finding the sweet spot of how much batter to add to your waffle maker. Every waffle maker is different and is a different size so it is really trial and error.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Start by beating the eggs really well. Add in your sugar and oil, and mix it really well. Add in salt and baking soda.
  2. Alternate in adding flour and milk into the bowl while mixing.
  3. While the flour and milk are mixing in, I plug in my waffle maker getting it warmed up while I finish mixing.
  4. I use a measuring cup to add my waffle batter to the waffle maker, this way I don't overflow it. Your waffle maker instructions should tell you how much to add to prevent overflow.
