I Hit the Halfway Mark – #WeightLoss

For the past month and a half-ish I have been a busy little bee getting to be the best me I can be. I can thank the Weight Watchers commercials in March for that. Their “we’ll waive the sign up fee” got to me. I signed up and I am so happy that I did.

I knew I wanted to join Weight Watchers while I was pregnant with Gauge. Last baby, no more excuses, I wasn’t going to be gaining a large amount of  weight again and wanted to get back to the old me, no more trying to squeeze into clothes that used to fit but no longer do.

The first week, wasn’t hard. Sure there was less food, trying to figure out the points for the foods that I love. But I lost 4lbs that first week.  Now as I am at the halfway mark to my goal. I don’t remember ever feeling this good. I feel like my body got a system reboot or something.

Anything slightly greasy kills my stomach. Over indulging in too much sweet does the same thing.

It has definitely been a great life style change. Key being, life style change. I’m not dieting. I’m learning.

I have been learning about portion control and which foods are the much healthier choice. I love that Weight Watchers doesn’t restrict what I can have. I am also loving the pair of jeans in my closet that are way too big to wear, the old pair of jeans from before I had Brookland that I can now button up, I can’t comfortably wear them, but at least I can button them!

I have lost 12lbs and can’t wait to lose the last 11!

This week, and in the coming weeks, I need to get back to exercising. I did great the first few weeks but have fallen off that wagon. Back up I go. After tonight: tonight we have soccer practice and grocery shopping.
